Nettco i-Series Blending Selection Table
Below is a Blending Selection Table of tank volumes vs. fluid viscosities. Use this table as a guide to determine your mixer selection. Locate your liquid volume in gallons along the left column and read across to locate the viscosity of your blended solution. Where these values intersect is your basic mixer selection. Also, ensure that the sizing criteria listed below applies to your application.
- Tank height to tank diameter ratio is in the range of 0.8 to 1.2. e.g. 40" diameter tank, 48" tall, has a 1.2 ratio (48/40 = 1.2)
- For blending liquids with Newtonian viscosity characteristics. Newtonian fluids exhibit no change in viscosity with changing shear rate or with increasing time.
- Difference in density of liquids is less than 0.1 g/cm3
- Use for mild blending applications
- Maximum density of the blended solution is 1.10 g/cm3
- Maximum viscosity ratio of the fluid being blended is 10:1 (>250cP)
- Mixer can be in operation during filling and emptying of the tank liquids
